Fascination is one of the most straight up pop songs from the Stop Space Return album and deserves a release on this classic 7” vinyl pop music format. On the b-side we are thrown a curveball in Benjamin James Smith’s (Smith & Mudd) cover version. He took the lyrics and went into the studio to record his version after watching the Johnny cash biopic Walk The Line. The result is a million miles from the Crazy P version, but not far from what Johnny Cash would have done in his heyday, and hence why his version is housed in Sun Records inspired artwork. All in all this is a very quirky and collectable release from Crazy P and 2020Vision and a testament to the wonderful independent record stores around the world.
